The proposed Leggett-built automobile, previously un-named, was christened the Iroquois, a four cylinder gasoline touring car weighing 1,650 pounds, and its specifications were announced to the trade in the June 10, 1903 issue of The Horseless Age.

In 1905 The Iroquois Motor Car Company purchased the property formerly occupied by the National Yeast Company and utilized it for the manufacture of automobiles.
