In January on 1913, American Voiturette took over the entire business of Keeton Motor Company. Under the arrangements, Charles B. Shaffer of Chicago, who was the president of American Voiturette and also a heavy stockholder in the Keeton Motor Company remained as president, along with H.H. Newsom as vice president and general manager.

This shift in the executive department added considerable strength to the American Voiturette company allowing them to devote resources to the mass production of the Car-Nation light car, which listed for $495.
