I have no idea where I got my appreciation and love for station wagons, but I have always been attracted to that body style since I was a little boy.

While I was extremely delighted to have been able to purchase a brand new 2005 Audi S4 sedan back in November of 2004, what I really wanted badly was the Avant variant.
There was simply no way for one to be had back then. They are just so rare, that getting one, especially with a manual transmission was practically impossible, as I soon found out.
Ever since then, I have been on a weekly search for one, especially after experiencing the amazing attributes of the S4, which in my opinion, is probably one of the best all around sports sedans ever built.
In addition to its rarity, I also had a set of criteria than simply had to be met, or I would not proceed.
The major ones where that it absolutely had to have a manual transmission. It had to be silver or charcoal silver. And, it had to have a black interior (or one with Alcantara inserts) as my sedan has.
Additional desires included carbon fibre or aluminum trim, navigation, Recaro seats, Premium Package - which includes Power Driver Mirror, Power Tilt/Sliding Sunroof, Aluminum Wheels, Intermittent Wipers, Sun/Moon Roof, Heated Driver Seat, Rain Sensing Wipers, Electrochromic rearview mirror, Mirror Memory, Universal Garage Door Opener, Power Folding Mirrors, Variable Speed Intermittent Wipers and Seat Memory, rear parking sensors, window sunshades, and a few other minor bits.
On September 11, 2013 I hit the jackpot. As a last minute act, just before shutting down my computer for the evening, I did my usual search on eBay and stumbled on to this 2006 Avant. The amazing part was that not only did it meet almost every condition I set, but it was also local, just 15 miles away from my house.
Needless to say, I am now the proud owner of this immaculate 50,000k mile B7 Avant. It even has the Audi "big mouth" grill - which was introduced mid year in 2005, just a few months after I bought the sedan. Below are just a few shot of the car (as shot by the dealer). I will update this very soon with more images and a detailed video.
